Sales/Transfers

FFL Transfers

I am a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder and am happy to do FFL Transfers for my customers. The fee for a transfer, whether shipping or receiving, is $30.00 per firearm from a licensed FFL. I will accept shipments from non-FFL holders however the fee is $40.00 per firearm.  If you have a question about why there is a fee for a transfer, please see the FAQ.  All Inbound Transfers must be picked up within 7 days of notification or incur a $5.00 per day storage fee.  If not picked up after 45 days, the transferred firearm will become the property of Ott Gun Works, LLC and disposed of as we see fit.

Firearm Sales

While we do not carry an inventory of firearms I do, on occasion, have used firearms for sale, and can special order new firearms. If you know what you would like, please call or e-mail with details.

Terms and Conditions for Firearm Sales & Transfers

All Firearms Sales and/or Transfers will be recorded per Federal Law and all buyers/transferees will be required to submit to a NICS background check.  Holders of a valid Georgia Weapons Carry License may provide it in lieu of the NICS background Check.  In the event of a NICS denial for your transfer, the firearm will not be transferred and you will have seven days to arrange an alternate disposition for the firearm(s). These include shipping the firearm back to the seller or leaving the item for sale on consignment with Ott Gun Works.  Please see the FAQ.

All firearms sales are final. No refunds, exchanges or returns.

I recently gave my S&W 442 (alum 'J' frame-enclosed hammer) to Brian Ott for some much needed trigger work. I wanted a smoother, lighter pull but not too light and I didn't want the hammer strike any lighter. Brian said he would tune the action and smooth off some of the surfaces to help me shoot it better. (I was having trouble keeping it on target throughout the trigger pull.) Brian had the pistol ready within a week (for a very reasonable price) and today was the first time shooting it at the range – WOW what a difference! He took a gun I HATED to shoot and made it much more manageable – which made it more accurate – which made it more fun to shoot – which made me happy.

Ott Gun Works has Closed

After several years of gunsmithing I am done for the time being.  This page will be active for a while and I may offer some services in the future

Add me to the growing list of satisfied customers. Had a 1911 in need of a really good cleaning and some new night sites and my hunting rifle that needed a little cosmetic work. Done fast and done right!! Brian is awesome and worth the drive from anywhere. Great to talk to as well for those "projects" in your head.
